About
The idea of my work is to explore the human experience from another point of view. For the most part, figures in my paintings look somewhat rusty and unfamiliar, with a grotesque happiness or excitement on their face as I have a rather satirical look at what I observe in society and in my personal experience with people.
My works are definitely affected by all the adaptations and integrations in all the countries that I have lived in. I had the privilege of living in three socially and culturally different countries and continents. I am a Persian woman from Iran, who has lived in France and now lives in the United States.
The similarities and dissimilarities of human connections in different locations are really fascinating for me and this is certainly reflected in my works.
In recent years, my focus is on both “expressive” and “meditative and detailed art” which is a different way to approach myself and the universe.
